The Tantalum is very similar to Niobium. It is a very hard metal that can deform plastically in a sustainable way without breaking. The Tantalum conducts heat and electricity very well and is therefore used mainly for the production of electrolytic capacitors. Another interesting feature is that Tantalum is a biocompatible material and is used for implants.
